Highline Electric Association has recently been awarded grant funding to participate in the Wildfire Assessment and Resilience for Networks project (WARN) by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Grid Deployment Office (Award Number DE-GD0000885). The project aims to strengthen the co-op’s distribution grid using proven methods and advanced technologies, with the aim of reducing wildfires and enhancing wildfire resilience.

The map below is our latest plan for where we will deploy the 30 reclosers across our territory in high wildfire risk areas. An update on the DOE WARN Project will be provided at our Annual Meeting on March 25, 2024.
